CHRISTMAS CARDS

On the 18th of December,the children  had decorated the Christmas cards that came out to be very glittery and wonderful , they had lots of  fun decorating them  and managed to wow their parents with their cards. we had made a few extra to put on display to show their achievements in creating them.

On the 17th of December at work placement Christmas activities were being done by the children with support from early years practitioner, as they were all given a templates of snowflake cut out for them and they were able to use their creative skills. they were provided with range if different resources.It was wonderful to work with  the children and help them complete this activity.I really enjoyed it.

Today in my setting it was the children Christmas party, were parents had attended for afternoon session were they had a choice to variety of foods that parents have brought in and allowed them to sit with their child and enjoy.moreover it was great opportunity to welcome parents and we did a range of activities in relation to Christmas, we had a Christmas disco for all the children that they all enjoyed ,we also had father Christmas giving all children a gift with and  picture with father Christmas himself.it was a wonderful opportunity to see how the early years setting celebrates this festive occasion ,overall was a lot of fun.

Through out Sinead lesson ,we had the opportunity to be researched in to SEND REFORM and the updates to it in small groups .This gave us an opportunity to do further research into this topic I had researched into SEN support, This was very useful as  finding key elements and points that highlighted the changes.This included to search and share information with peers.We was provided with creative resources materials to put together a great information board for the classroom .This was a very beneficial opportunity and gave me an more of an understanding of the changes made regarding the SEND REFORM

GUEST SPEAKERS

LOADS OF USEFUL INFORMATION IN REGARDS TO PROGRESSION TO 3RD YEAR

On Tuesday 2nd of December we had 3 different guest speakers from the universities who had come into give us an insight of requirements needed to enroll on to their course. It was presented clearly and was very beneficial, as it had answered lots if my question.The Guest visitors were very friendly and approachable for advice needed to progress.

Fruit Printing 

Within last week during placement I was given the opportunity to carry an activity with the children in relation to helping the children to get familiar with their colors and fruits as the activity that was implemented at my setting.The activity that involved fruit printing ,it was a wonderful opportunity and experience to observe and understand how to carry out an activity and see how it is added to their learning journeys.
